Portfolio of Products:

• Ball screws (VRS):
  a leader in the aerospace market, Umbra’s screws are used in primary flight controls, in high lift systems, in reverse thrust, wheel brakes and propellers as well as in auxiliary systems. In the industrial market, they are employed in the most diverse application sectors of machine tools manufacture.
• Balls:
  production of steel balls for aeronautical and industrial application.
• Anti-friction bearings:
  they are used in a wide variety of applications, all for large systems and machines such as laminators, oil rigs and machine tools, renewable energy (they are now used in wind applications).
• Electromechanical Actuators (EMA):
  they seamlessly integrate mechanical components such as bearings, ball screws and gears (traditional products from Umbria) with motors, electronics and software. Specially designed for the aeronautical, industrial and energy market, they are compact and silent and characterised by low power consumption and costs, high performance and reliability.

The Technical Service, with main base at Umbra Cuscinetti S.p.A.’s in Foligno, has developed close collaborations with Italian and foreign universities and research centres, thus giving rise to a profitable and solid teamwork.

Over the years, the Group has developed privileged relationships with Research and Development departments of our major clients, which allowed obtaining a customised production. Customising covers all stages of the production process, starting from the design.
